26 green logistics cases in China have been included in international standards

2026-03-29

Recently, the international standard "Application Cases of Green Logistics Activities" (ISO TR 25326:2026), proposed and led by China, was officially released, focusing on logistics scenarios such as transportation, storage, loading and unloading, handling, packaging, circulation processing, distribution and information processing, and gave 83 cases from 15 countries and 28 enterprises from the aspects of intensive resource utilization, low carbon emissions, resource recycling, environmental protection and occupational health, of which 26 cases were from China.

In the context of global response to climate change and promoting sustainable development, the implementation and promotion of green logistics has become an important way to lead the high-quality development of the logistics industry. The standard analyzes the green goals achieved in each case, the sustainability factors, technologies and management key points involved, and puts forward standardization suggestions to provide a practical reference for various organizations to understand, implement and promote green logistics activities.

China's 26 cases have shared and contributed advanced experience to the world, covering five aspects of green logistics. For example, in terms of intensive utilization of resources, China has promoted the application of bench container transportation coil cargo technology in railways, ports, steel and papermaking enterprises, reducing the logistics cost per million tons of transportation by more than 83 million yuan; In terms of low carbon emissions, China uses warehouse roofs to promote photovoltaic distributed power generation, which can cover more than 60% of the average annual electricity consumption of storage areas. In terms of occupational health, China promotes the installation of tail plates in trucks, which realizes automatic lifting and lowering by controlling the hydraulic system, improving the loading and unloading efficiency by more than 60%, and also significantly reducing the risk of accidents caused by improper handling.
